Slow Belly Tending
Slow Belly Tending is a gentle, relational approach to meeting the belly as a place of body-based communication, digestion, emotional processing, and creativity. In this class, you’ll learn simple, accessible practices you can return to daily, including Chi Nei Tsang–inspired self-massage, basic organ wisdom, and belly-based breath and sound.
The Tao of Deep Intimacy: A Six-Week Series
June 9 – July 14
In this foundational introduction to the Tao of Deep Intimacy, we explore Taoist practices with direct and transformative impact on intimate relationship — held in person in Grass Valley, California and live streamed on Zoom, with recordings available. We learn to dissolve the forces that block love — irritation, control, distrust, and contempt — and cultivate the qualities that sustain it: appreciation, trust, generosity, tenderness, and authenticity.
Through practices that regulate the nervous system and dissipate conflict at its root, we develop grounded methods for deepening commitment and creating shared values and living agreements within partnership. In the later part of the course, we turn to sexual energy — solo cultivation practices for both male and female, and the classical Taoist methods of dual cultivation, which support extended lovemaking and open pathways into ecstatic states of deep union.
What People Are Saying ᐧ
“My journey with Katherine has been such a gift. It has allowed me to connect with parts of my body that are often overlooked in traditional massage. Learning how to perform these techniques on my own belly felt incredibly empowering.”
S.U. - group practice participant“When I started, I was hopeful this practice would help me connect with my belly in a way I don’t think I ever had before—but I was blown away by just how deeply it has changed our relationship. The way Katherine guides us into the practice is incredibly gentle and caring, and it all flows so naturally. Thank you so much, Katherine. I know I have so much more to learn from tending to my belly—and this feels like just the beginning.”

“Katherine’s teaching style is one of quiet devotion, and in this loud world, that feels like a big thing to me. Katherine brings this sense of integration and coherence all the way from the content of her teachings into the way that she shows up, and that helps me to feel held in the practice. The coherence in these teachings helps me along my own journey of coherence and integration inside of myself. ”
